11th session of Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Drugs and Crime (COP UNTOC)

Dear NGO Representatives,

The Civil Society Unit (CSU) of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is looking forward to welcoming you to the upcoming 11th session of Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention against Drugs and Crime (COP UNTOC) which will take place at the Vienna International Centre (M-Building) and online from 17 October 2022 to 21 October 2022.

We are pleased to share you the following useful information:

Dates and times of the Conference: 17-21 October 2022, 10:00 to 13:00 and 15:00 to 18:00, local Vienna time. The annotated agenda is available here. More information on the Conference can be found on the designated website here.

Briefing for NGOs: 17 October 9.15AM (Vienna, Austria time). For those attending the Conference in person, the briefing will take place in the VIC. The room will be confirmed prior to the date. Informal Dialogues:

  • Wednesday 19 October 10:30 to 11:30: Informal Dialogue with the Executive Director. The Dialogue will give an opportunity to participants to meet and exchange with UNODC Executive Director and her management team. The Room and Link to participate will be shared prior to the meeting.
  • Informal Dialogue with the President of COP11 (tbc): More information will be shared as soon as possible.

Questions for both Informal Dialogues are being coordinated through the NGO Alliance on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (Alliance). All participants interested in asking questions are invited to share them with the Alliance during their monthly meeting on 5th October 2022, 3PM CEST (Vienna time). You can join the zoom meting using this link: https://bit.ly/3fgBJWI

NGO publications at COP11:

Kindly note that due to COVID-19, there will be limited space to display publications during the COP 11. For those attending in person, the CSU will offer limited space. Please contact unodc-se4u@un.org should you whish to display materials.

NGO lounge:

Please be informed that the NGO Lounge (Building: M; Room: M0E27) is available for in-person NGO participants. The lounge is a place reserved for NGOs during COP11, where you can work and meet each other.Documentation:

Registration:
Please be advised that in person conference badges can be picked up starting on Friday, 14 October 2022. The registration desk will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, 14 October; and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday, 17 October. You can find more useful information for participants here.
