ECOSOC Special Meeting
The Economic and Social Council is convening a special meeting on “Social and economic measures to prevent genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity” on 24 January 2023. The meeting will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the ECOSOC Chamber at the UN Headquarters. The meeting will focus on addressing socio-economic causes to prevent genocide, war crimes, ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity. The meeting is also envisioned to highlight measures to prevent conflict and atrocity crimes.
