Interactive Dialogue | Integration of a Life-course Approach to Immunization within NITAGs

9 March @ 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM UTC-5

Dear All,

National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAGs) are responsible for guiding country-level immunization programs and policies beyond childhood to strengthen the healthy ageing of older adult populations. Since the launch of NITAGs there appears to be a general paucity of accurate information on their governance, management, and impact. In response to this gap, the International Federation on Ageing (IFA) led a comprehensive review of NITAGs across 34 countries, highlighting the need for improved evidence-based decision-making in immunization for older adults. The primary goal of the evaluation is to help influence and shape a high-level review of the NITAGs.

As a mechanism to discuss the study findings toward strengthening the role of NITAGs to improve vaccine confidence across the life course, the IFA is convening an interactive dialogue among experts in ageing, public health and immunization. The IFA is delighted to invite you to attend the interactive dialogue on Thursday March 9th 2023 at 7:00 am (EST) via Zoom.
