The Civil Society Forum, organized by the NGO Committee for Social Development along with UN DESA and the State of Qatar, will serve as the principal space for organized collective civil society engagement with United Nations agencies, Member States, and others, in the Summit. The Forum serves to amplify voices from the grassroots and the most vulnerable; to create space for collaborative narrative-shaping, for exploring solutions and building partnerships; and for discussing accountability mechanisms for the follow-up of the Summit’s outcomes, all while complementing the objectives of the Summit. The Civil Society Forum is committed to inclusive and meaningful engagement across the widest array of stakeholders, and is dedicated to advancing the implementation of the Copenhagen Declaration and the social development agenda across the world.

The Civil Society Forum will include 10 Featured Events, one focused on each of the 10 Commitments of the Copenhagen Declaration.
