Surya Deva, the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to development and the UN Human Rights Office are pleased to extend an invitation to the official 2025 High-level Political Forum side event titled “Reinforcing gender equality to realize the human rights of women and girls.“
Join distinguished speakers on 16 July at 1:15 pm in Conference Room F to reinforce the importance of achieving gender equality and empowerment of all women and girls, explore the role of Member States, businesses and other actors in pushing for eliminating all forms of intersecting discrimination against women and girls, and to discuss how aspects of the right to development could be leveraged for achieving gender equality.
We look forward to welcoming you at the event, co-organized by the UN Special Rapporteur on the right to development and the Center for Economic and Social Rights, and co-sponsored by the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the United Nations in New York and the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic Germany to the United Nations in New York.
