The newly released estimates on femicide by UNODC refer to all types of gender-related killings of women and girls. They reveal that more than half of all female homicides are committed by family members or intimate partners. This briefing for civil society will allow for discussion on how to engage to end impunity and increase prevention of gender-
based violence.
