Invitation – 8 June, 10.30am, CR3: Human Rights and Youth in NYC – Exploring the meaning of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in New York has the pleasure of inviting you to an event organized at United Nations Headquarters in the framework of Human Rights 75, High Commissioner Volker Türk’s initiative to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
The event, Human Rights and Youth in New York City – Exploring the meaning of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, will be held on 8 June, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm in Conference Room 3 at UNHQ, and is co-organized with the Commission on Human Rights of New York City. It will feature, among others, a keynote speech by Ms. Chelsea Miller, a Brooklyn-based racial justice and youth activist, a panel debate with NYC youth as well as a performance by the People’s Theatre Project.
