ICW Parallel Event: Women’s Empowerment in a Future World of Work Impacted by Climate Change

Register here

Economic empowerment of women and girls is pivotal to women having access and control over the use of income and economic assets in order to transform their lives. The rise in automation, connectivity and technology, the emergence of the gig economy, and demographic and social shifts are bringing change in the workplace. However, women face more challenges than men when it comes to labor participation and access to decent jobs. This event will discuss best practices and measures to help women overcome long-established systemic obstacles to their labor participation and transition successfully in the future workplace impacted by many changes, including climate change.
