DESCRIPTION:2025 HIGH-LEVEL POLITICAL FORUM  ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT\n(Convened under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council\n\n14–23 Jul 2025\nUnited Nations Headquarters\nUS/Eastern timezone\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nOverview\nRegistration\nProgramme Schedule\n\n\nHLPF Contact\n\ndesa-hlpf@un.org\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) will be convened from Monday\, 14 July\, to Wednesday\, 23 July 2025\, under the auspices of the Economic and Social Council. This includes the three-day ministerial segment of the forum from Monday\, 21 July\, to Wednesday\, 23 July 2025\, as part of the High-level Segment of ECOSOC. \nThe theme of the HLPF is “Advancing sustainable\, inclusive\, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind”. \nThe 2025 HLPF with full appreciation for the integrated\, indivisible and interlinked nature of the Sustainable Development Goals\, will conduct in-depth reviews of: SDG 3. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages; SDG 5. Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls; SDG 8. Promote sustained\, inclusive and sustainable economic growth\, full and productive employment and decent work for all; SDG 14. Conserve and sustainably use the oceans\, seas and marine resources for sustainable development; and SDG 17. Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development. \nThe list of 37 presenting countries at the 2025 HLPF is as follows: Angola\, Bahamas\, Bangladesh\, Belarus\, Bhutan\, Bulgaria\, Czech Republic\, Dominican Republic\, El Salvador\, Eswatini\, Ethiopia\, Finland\, Gambia (Republic of the)\, Germany\, Ghana\, Guatemala\, India\, Indonesia\, Iraq\, Israel\, Japan\, Kazakhstan\, Kyrgyz Republic\, Lesotho\, Malaysia\, Malta\, Micronesia (Federated States of)\, Nigeria\, Papua New Guinea\, Philippines\, Qatar\, Saint Lucia\, Seychelles\, South Africa\,  Sudan\, Suriname\, and Thailand. \nThe 2025 HLPF is expected to bring together ministerial and high-level representatives of governments\, as well as a wide range of expertise and stakeholders\, including heads of UN entities\, academics and other experts\, and representatives of major groups and other stakeholders. SUMMARY:COP30 UNFCCC: Timelines for the selection process for a side event and/or an exhibit
DESCRIPTION:While the secretariat continues its efforts to find sufficient funding for the coordination of side events and exhibits at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 30\, in order to save the time for required authorization and mergers of applications\, SEORS will be open in parallel so that the secretariat can immediately start the selection process if and when sufficient resources are found. The secretariat will keep observer organizations and Parties partnering with observer organizations informed of the selection process through the SEORS webpage. \nIn this context\, please note that the timelines for the selection process for a side event and/or an exhibit at COP 30 have been announced on our official webpage. As indicated on the website\, the application period will open on Wednesday\, 16 July 2025\, 10 am CEST\, and close on Monday\, 21 July 2025\, 5 pm CEST. The process would not begin or would be halted if and when resources are not sufficient. \nNotwithstanding\, as in the past\, Side Events and Exhibits Online Registration System (SEORS) will be the only channel used by the UNFCCC secretariat to receive applications for official side events and official exhibits by observer organizations\, and Parties partnering with admitted observer organizations. \nFor further information on side events and exhibits\, please consult the Side Events and Exhibits information page on the official UNFCCC website and also the Information for COP 30 Participants.
