DESCRIPTION:Apply to Host a Featured Event as part of the Civil Society Forum at the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha!\nDeadline to Apply: 30 August\, 2025 \nApply Here \nCivil society organizations participating in the Second World Summit for Social Development are warmly invited to participate in the Civil Society Forum\, which will take place during the Summit\, at the same venue. The Civil Society Forum\, organized by the NGO Committee for Social Development along with UN DESA and the State of Qatar\, will serve as the principal space for organized collective civil society engagement with United Nations agencies\, Member States\, and others\, in the Summit. The Forum serves to amplify voices from the grassroots and the most vulnerable; to create space for collaborative narrative-shaping\, for exploring solutions and building partnerships; and for discussing accountability mechanisms for the follow-up of the Summit’s outcomes\, all while complementing the objectives of the Summit. The Civil Society Forum is committed to inclusive and meaningful engagement across the widest array of stakeholders\, and is dedicated to advancing the implementation of the Copenhagen Declaration and the social development agenda across the world. \nThe Civil Society Forum will include 10 Featured Events\, one focused on each of the 10 Commitments of the Copenhagen Declaration. Organizations are invited to apply to host a featured event as part of their formal participation in the Forum. DESCRIPTION:Applications for the Fifteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (UN Crime Congress) for Non-Governmental Organizations without ECOSOC status are now open.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nScroll down to read this email in French and Spanish. \nFaites défiler vers le bas pour lire cet e-mail en français et en espagnol. \nDesplázate hacia abajo para leer este correo electrónico en francés y en español. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDear stakeholders\, \n\nThe Congress Secretariat is pleased to inform you that the Fifteenth United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (UN Crime Congress) will be held in Abu Dhabi\, United Arab Emirates from 25 to 30 April 2026\, with pre-session consultations scheduled for Friday\, 24 April 2026. \n\nThe overall theme for this Congress is: “Accelerating crime prevention\, criminal justice and the rule of law: protecting people and planet and achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the digital age”\, in line with the General Assembly resolution 78/223. \n\nNGOs that are not in consultative status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) are invited to apply for special accreditation in line with ECOSOC Resolution 1996/31\, para 44. The list of NGO applications is shared with Member States through the Extended Burau of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ). If no objections are raised by a Member State\, the NGOs are considered approved through a silence procedure.
