DESCRIPTION:Dear Colleagues\n\nI am pleased to remind you to join the March meeting of the NGO CSD Vienna\, to be held on 4 March 2025 in hybrid format (see access details below and in the attached flyer). We will deal with the following topic:\n\nTHIRD MEETING OF STATES PARTIES TO THE TREATY ON THE PROHIBITION OF NUCLEAR WEAPONS\nThe Third Meeting of States Parties is taking place in New York from 3 to 7 March 2025. Since the last Nuclear Ban week in New York\, the treaty has grown with 4 ratifications (Sao Tome\, Indonesia\, Sierra Leone\, Solomon Islands) and one signature (Solomon Islands). And there has been a robust intersessional period advancing issues including victim assistance and the security concerns of states party to the Treaty. Further to meetings organized by CSD\, CSW\, WILPF\, in coordination with ICAN\, in February and December 2024\, we will provide an insight to civil society participation via a connection with Committee members and other delegates attending the meeting in NY.  \n\n\nThe meeting will have the following agenda: \n\n\n\nWelcome\nApproval of the agenda\nIntroduction of the topic\nConnection with Austrian delegates in New York\nDiscussion\nReports from organizations\nUpcoming events\, next meeting\nAOB\n\n\n\nPlease let me know if you need a pass for the VIC.
