Older People at the Heart of WSSD2 – A Powerful Call to Action

We’re pleased to share with you a powerful position paper drafted by HelpAge Global Network, with the support of many committed partners — including ours.
In the lead-up to the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD2), this paper calls for bold action to put ageing and older persons’ rights at the centre of global social justice efforts — including a UN Convention on the Rights of Older Persons.
The paper pushes for universal pensions, stronger health systems, intergenerational equity, and an end to ageism — for current and future generations.
