SUMMARY:The Resilience Paradox: The Role of Faith Actors in Addressing Climate Challenges and Vulnerabilities Faced by Small Island States
DESCRIPTION:Dear partners\, \n\n\n\nGreetings from the Anglican Communion Office at the United Nations! \n\n\nWe are proud to share with you the event we are co-sponsoring at the margins of the High-Level Political Forum: The Resilience Paradox: Faith Actors in Addressing Climate Challenges and Vulnerabilities Faced by Small Island States. This event is the result of a partnership between the Anglican Communion Office at the United Nations\, The Episcopal Church\, the Anglican Alliance\, Episcopal Relief and Development\, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS). \n\n\nDuring an hour and a half\, we will focus on challenges to building resilience and sustainable development faced by Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and spotlight the work of faith actors as prophetic voices on environmental and sustainable development issues. We will also interrogate the role of faith actors in building climate resilience\, SDGs\, COVID response\, and advocating to and partnering with governments. \n\n\nThe event will be held on 12th of July from 10:00 to 11:30 EDT/ 14:00 to 15:30 UTC via Zoom. \nTo register please visit: bit.ly/FaithAtHLPF \n\n\n_____________________________________________________________________________________________ \nCoNGO Notes: For more information on the Committee of Religious NGOs at the United Nations\, please visit rngos.wordpress.com.
